These protective softshell pants are made for ski touring when totally waterproofness is not needed, but warmth is required. They also work perfectly for activities like mountaineering, climbing, and trekking.

Norrøna used a hiloflex fabric because it provides durability and wind protection like a flex1 fabric on the outside, with a loft that provides the warmth of a fleece on the inside. The main material composition is a recycled polyester/elastane double weave hiloflex (268 g/m2). Reinforced at the bottom of the legs with a 200D, recycled nylon (207g/m2).

Key features include: Custom fit waist system, two zippered hand pockets, two open thigh pockets with stretch for easy access, side zip ventilation with snow mesh, adjustable snow gaiter, reinforcement at lower leg to protect against steel edges and crampons.

These pants have a slim fit with articulated knees and room at the bottom to fit over ski boots.

Weighing between 200 and 300 grams/m2, theses double weave constructed materials provide a unique combination of warmth and weather protection. While many conventional fleeces are less durable due to their knit construction, the fabric has a much more durable surface due to its woven flat face. This makes it strong towards abrasion and keep the material wind and water resistant. A lofty interior provides great thermal properties with a good warmth to weight ratio. Thanks to an open construction, the fabric is highly breathable, and it offers a perfect balance between heat and comfort dynamic warmth. Stretch in at least one direction ensures very good mobility and comfort when being active.
